Fraunhofer visited DTPoland HQ

Fraunhofer, world’s leading R&D institute, visited DTPoland HQ, Zielona Gora, Poland for 2 day executive meeting & engineering workshops.

The meeting theme was Applied science in the real use cases around Industry 4.0 and the new generation of smart robotics. Prof. Michael Schenk (Fraunhofer IFF) and Prof. Janusz Szajna (DTPoland) presented the newest results of the advanced R&D on-going projects. Now the target is to strengthen the partnership and go into a joint R&D project on an international scale.

DTPoland takes place in Gitex – Dubai

DTPoland will be part of the Gitex Technology Week in Dubai.

We will present our newest, amazing HoloLens application.

GITEX Technology Week is a game-changing, must-attend event located in Dubai – the world’s fastest growing technology hub. For 37 years, visionaries and tech pioneers have been descending on Dubai to witness first-hand the technology that has inspired generations and innovations that are set to change the world.

HARTING MICA Business HUB workshops

DTPoland is HARTING’s Business Hub for MICA computer.

Focusing on customer oriented, value adding solution packages, based on the HARTING MICA open platform is the Business HUB’s main goal.

Real customer scenarios were discussed on current examples of issues that customers are facing.

Live presentations covered: MICA Energy, MICA USB, MICA with touch screen (first introduced during Hannover Messe 2017 trade fair).

The meeting took place in HARTING Poland office – Wroclaw, Poland, 22.08.2017.

DTPoland & OFFIS connected

DTPoland visited OFFIS Institut of Informatics in Oldenburg.

The main discussed topics were Industry 4.0 and Augmented Reality, followed by workshops with the examples of real use cases.

HARTING & DTPoland signing the Business Agreement

During the Hannover Messe 2017 Harting and Digital Technology Poland signed the strategic Business Hub Agreement. This took place during the official signing ceremony together with the Minister of Finances & Economical Development, Mateusz Morawiecki and Undersecretary of State, Jadwiga Emilewicz.

DTP permanent showcase in Rittal Innovation Center

While DTPoland was at Hannover Fair, the second showcase was presented in Rittal Innovation Center in Haiger.

We presented our newest, patented innovation: the Wire Label Reader – first in the world device to read the small characters (letters and numbers) from the very thin wires.

Future Smart Wiring and Prototyping with Augmented Reality glasses was also in the main focus. DTP created innovative human-machine interface: virtual control panel – AR version of the EPLAN Smart Wiring, special virtual arrows, indicators and virtual objects of the real ones.

All can be seen in Haiger in Rittal Innovation Center, since it became the permanent showcase.

DTPoland @ Hannover Messe 2017 trade fair (24-28.04)

DTPoland is chosen 1 of 4 TOP Polish companies to be presented to Prime Minister Beata Szydlo and Chancellor Angela Merkel during the Official Opening of the Hannover Messe trade fair, on Monday, 24.04.2017.

Hannover Messe is the world’s biggest industry trade fair. Poland is the official Partner Country of the 2017 edition.

Digital Technology Poland will present the Smart Factory solutions, including the newest Future Smart Wiring and Prototyping, which is using the Augmented Reality glasses.

Polish – German cooperation is the trade fair theme. DTPoland will present the cooperation in advanced R&D, digitalisation and Industry 4.0 with German Business Partners: Rittal, EPLAN and HARTING.

Top score Innovation certificate given to DTP

University of Zielona Góra, together with Enterprise Europe Network, admitted a top score “Innovation certificate” to Digital Technology Poland for the currently developed technology.

There are already two big German enterprises interested in the outcomes of this Research & Development.

Meeting with Polish Minister of Economic Development

Polish Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development, Mateusz Morawiecki, meets with a group of selected 8 Polish entrepreneurs who cooperate with German companies.

DTPoland was one of the top Polish companies to attend this meeting – the one from the ICT / Advanced Technologies field.

Prof. Szajna (DTP CEO) described the ongoing DTP projects in the field of smart production (Industry 4.0), developed for German clients.

Dr. Dietmar Harting in our office in Poland

On June 3rd, Dr. Dietmar Harting flew to Zielona Gora to visit Digital Technology Poland in the newly built Science Center.

The main point were the talks about the engineering cooperation – both hardware & software – with the emphasis on future technologies and innovations.

Dr. Dietmar Harting is the well known German entrepreneur. His company was visited by delegation of Angela Merkel and Barack Obama during the last Hannover Messe (2016).

In acknowledgement of Dr. Harting’s achievements, in 2009 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class (Germany).

DTP continues to cooperate with EPLAN & RITTAL in the area of software within the Industry 4.0 initiative.

The newest results could be seen during world’s most important industry fair – Hannover Messe (25-29 April 2016).

The solution is very intuitive in use and can be easily applied in production environment.

Cooperation with Friedhelm LOH Group – RITTAL & EPLAN

DTP is pleased to announce that it has started working with Friedhelm LOH Group companies – RITTAL & EPLAN – in the area of software within the Industry 4.0 initiative.

Result of the first stage of cooperation was being presented at the SPS fairs in Nuremberg, 22-24 November 2015, and attracted great interest from the trade fair visitors.

The solution is very intuitive in use and can be easily applied in production environment.

Medal for contribution to the Lubuskie Province

Janusz Szajna, DTP President, was personally awarded for the contribution to the Lubuskie Province. Prof. Szajna is a co-founder and builder of three major organizations / R&D companies:

  • Computer Engineering & Electronics Department at the Zielona Gora University.
  • Advanced Digital Broadcast, Digital TV company.
  • Digital Technology Poland, R&D and innovation house.

  • Medal for contribution to the Lubuskie Province awarded by Mr. Wladyslaw Komarnicki, Vice-President of the regional council of Lubuskie Province & President of the chapter of the Lubuskie Province Medal.

    Polish-German 2015 Economic Summit

    Foreign business-people are amazed how Poland changed recent years and how Polish people can positively influence western EU countries.

    Ernst Raue, many years Chief of CeBIT and Member of the Board of Deutsche Messe AG, now DTP Supervisory Board member, spoke on the stage about great economical environment in the modern EU-Poland and the world-class, advanced IT/software engineering.

    One of the topics of the conference was that Poland is the biggest beneficiary of the EU budget 2014-2020 (~106 bln Euro). Most of the funds are dedicated to technical / IT innovations in the following programs:

  • Smart industry
  • Sensitive Data Security

    Researching & defining Industry 4.0 future

    DTPoland is actively creating future ideas around Industry 4.0. Our President, Prof. Szajna is in permanent contact with Prof. Wahlster and German Research Center for Artificial Inteligence (DFKI), German leading body for future industry standards.

    Newest DFKI solutions regarding intelligent robots and human-machine interaction are very close to one of DTP’s main focus.

    Newest vision from Germany’s Federal CIO

    Cornelia Rogall-Grothe, Germany’s CIO, is the main contact person for countries and business organizations in terms of cooperation with the federal government in IT matters.

    DTP is continually following the rule of staying close to both businesses and governments, especially now, when Poland is the biggest beneficiary of the EU budget 2014-2020 (~106 bln Euro).

    DTP and Fraunhofer connected

    Very interesting cooperation day took place in Magdeburg on February 19th, 2015. Polish delegation, led by Trade and Investment Promotion Section of the Polish Embassy in Berlin, met with representatives from Fraunhofer IFF and Magdeburg University.

    All of the parties involved learned about each other and spoke intensively nearly half a day about future cooperation.

    There is a vision of very interesting and innovative joint projects to be started soon.

    Prime Minister of Poland in DTP HQ

    Prime Minister of Poland Ewa Kopacz is opening Industrial Park in Zielona Gora where DTP has its R&D center and headquarters.

    Mrs. Kopacz toured the whole Park, including buildings of the university’s science center, business incubator for entrepreneurship and DTP R&D center.

    In her speech Prime Minister stressed that she was very happy with the tight cooperation between the university and local businesses and innovative results coming from it.

    DTP joins Pharmaceutical Cluster as ICT Tech. Partner

    DTP joined Lubusz Pharmaceutical Cluster in order to help building ICT innovations & technology for e-health.

    DTP CEO, Prof. Szajna was conducting a lecture about his team’s major ICT innovation achievements and technical possibilities for the future.

    The success of Prof. Diks’ students

    The team led by Prof. Krzysztof Diks who works closely with the DTP, gained another success at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), held this year in Taiwan.

    Jaroslaw Kwiecien has won the gold medal.

    Prof. Diks from Warsaw University is a member of The Supervisory Board of DTP and serves as a lecturer and a coach of young talents in the company.

    Polish computer science students led by Prof. Diks strengthen their leading position each year.

    They are in the top four in the all-time medal count of the Olympiad, along with Russia, China and the USA.

    The successes of our students mean successes of our science and the economy in the future – says Prof. Diks. Some of the former Olympians are close to the title of professor at the age of just over thirty. Some of them become experts in the field of ICT and work with the most prestigious companies or establish their own prosperous businesses. We have achieved international success this year, and we are going to work hard to repeat it next year – he adds.

    Meeting in German Smart Factory (DFKI)

    Meeting with Prof. Wolfgang Wahlster and Prof. Detlef Zuhlke in German Research Center for Artificial Inteligence (DFKI) in Kaiserslautern.

    DTPoland is deeply involved in the research of Industry 4.0 topic.

    Again, our way of work is to cooperate on the 3 plains: business, state and university. Only in a bigger group and partnerships, new future can be defined.

    Cooperation with Technical University Dresden

    DTP closely cooperates with Technical University Dresden (TUD) – world top technical university, identified as German “Excellence University”.

    The challenge is to merge lightweight materials from the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology with DTP’s advanced electronics.
